SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for checking the status of working brake (102) of a commercial vehicle using a linear track recorder for each working brake (102). In the implementation of method a) position signal (106) is introduced, and position signal (106) represents the position of the component of service brake (102) registered by the linear path recorder, in particular, the position depending on time or time characteristic. Additionally, in the input step, a pressure signal is input and, additionally or alternatively, a control signal and, additionally or alternatively, a pad wear signal. b) Position signal (106) is processed to determine at least one parameter (110) of working brake state (102), at the stage of processing, the state parameter is determined using a pressure signal and additionally or alternatively as a control signal and, additionally or alternatively, a pad wear signal. c) Parameter (110) of working brake state (102) is determined in the interface. Device is proposed for checking the status of the service brake, along with a device for operating the brake system, a vehicle brake, a vehicle brake system.
EFFECT: improved method for checking the state, for example, an air gap, a vehicle brake is developed, as well as a method for operating a vehicle brake and a corresponding device for carrying out the method; another task is to create an improved vehicle brake; individually or in combination, they can further extend the life or durability of the vehicle's brakes and harmonize the wear of several vehicle brakes so that the service intervals can be used optimally.
