SUBSTANCE: method for improving operational reliability of a thermally loaded functional element of a vehicle braking mechanism, in particular, cargo vehicle and/or trailer, and/or reducing wear of braking mechanism and/or drive energy. Proposed method comprises the following stages: reading of braking mechanism temperature signal, which is temperature of braking mechanism and/or functional element of braking mechanism detected by sensor, and reading request signal to braking system and/or brake system pressure signal for braking mechanism; determining a thermally conditioned failure event using a temperature signal and a request signal to the braking system and/or a pressure signal in the braking system and generating a matched request signal to the braking system and/or matched pressure signal in braking system using a certain thermally conditioned failure case.

EFFECT: technical result is increase in operational reliability of thermally loaded functional element of braking mechanism and/or reduced wear of brake mechanism.
