SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine control systems. Method for real-time power control with respect to a plurality of engine control devices by means of at least one processing device on a computer system includes determining the need for power load from a first set of engines, selecting a combination of engine control devices to match the need for power load, setting a first set of system-wide priorities, setting up the power switching circuit to connect the first set of engines with engine control devices, receiving a power request for the engine from the control unit, determining the priority assignment for the engine, assigning a second set of system-wide priorities, determining second power demand from the second set of engines, wherein the second set of active engines comprises the first set of active engines and the first engine, selecting a second combination of engine control devices required to match the second need for power load, and setting up a power switching circuit according to said second set of system-wide priorities.

EFFECT: invention improves engine control efficiency.
