FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of physico-mechanical testing of wood when it is sheared parallel to the grain and can be used in conducting research on wood. Essence: transfer of force of pressure is carried out through a punch of the testing machine to an end face of the sample installed in a clip. Before the test, the intended arc of spalling on the specimen is combined with the arc of a notch of the same radius on the punch, the direction of pressure transfer to the sample and the counter reaction of the sample are in a curvilinear plane, passing along the arc of the sheared annual layer. Shear portion of the specimen in the clip forms a console.
EFFECT: technical result: ability to determine the magnitude of the strength of wood in the longitudinal shift (shearing) along the arc of the annual layer.
