FIELD: agriculture; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: control mechanism for an agricultural machine provides control of speed and the direction of the machine by adjusting the input control shaft to control the output of a pair of tandem-mounted hydraulic drive pumps and providing motive power for the agricultural machine. Input control shaft can rotate and move in the axial direction. Hydraulic steering motor is operably connected to the input shaft to rotate the input control shaft. Rotation of the hydraulic steering motor is selectively controlled by means of a steering control valve or a proportional control valve controlled by an automatic guidance system. Steering control valve is attached to the cab-mounted steering wheel. Selector valve controls the active steering input. Emergency disengagement positions the selector valve to restore manual control by the steering wheel.
