FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing porous materials used as a heat insulating material and in vacuum insulating panels. Method includes providing mixture (a), reacting the components to form gel (b), and drying gel (c). This mixture contains the composition (A), containing components suitable for the formation of an organic gel, and a mixture of solvents (B). Composition (A) contains at least one polyfunctional isocyanate as component (a1) and at least one aromatic amine of the general formula

as component (a2), in which R1 and R2 may be identical or different and each is selected independently from hydrogen and linear or branched alkyl groups containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and all substituents from Q1 to Q5 and from Q1' to Q5' are identical or different and are each independently selected from hydrogen, a primary amino group, and a linear or branched alkyl group containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, provided that the compound having the general formula I contains at least two primary amino groups, wherein at least one of Q1, Q3 and Q5 is the primary amino group and at least one of Q1', Q3' and Q5' is the primary amino group. Mixture of solvents (B) is a mixture of at least two solvents. Solvent blend has Hansen solubility parameter δΗ in the range from 3.0 to 5.0 MPa-1, defined using the parameter δΗ of each solvent mixture of solvents (B).

EFFECT: resulting porous materials have low thermal conductivity in the ventilated state, high porosity, low density and high mechanical stability.
