FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing a porous material, as well as a porous material and its use as an insulating material for vacuum-insulating panels. Said method comprises contacting at least one multifunctional isocyanate with at least one multifunctional aromatic amine in the presence of at least one catalyst and a solvent. Aromatic amine is 3,3',5,5'-tetraalkyl-4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane, 3,3',5,5'-tetraalkyl-2,2'-diaminodiphenylmethane or 3,3',5,5'-tetraalkyl-2,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane, alkyl groups at the 3,3',5 and 5'-positions may be the same or different and are independently selected from linear or branched alkyl groups containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms.
EFFECT: this method makes it possible to prevent the mixing defect resulting from the interaction of isocyanates with amines and, consequently, heterogeneity in the structure of the material, the obtained materials have improved thermal conductivity at low pressure, high porosity, low density and sufficiently high mechanical stability.
