FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing porous material and use thereof. A method of producing porous material includes reacting (a1) at least one multifunctional isocyanate, (a2) at least one multifunctional substituted aromatic amine, and (a3) water in the presence of a solvent. The multifunctional substituted aromatic amine has a general formula I: where R1 and R2 can be identical or different and independently selected from a hydrogen atom and straight or branched alkyl groups with 1-6 carbon atoms. All substitutes from Q1 to Q5 and from Q1' to Q5' are identical or different and are independently selected from hydrogen, a primary amino group and a straight or branched alkyl group with 1-12 carbon atoms. The alkyl group can carry other functional groups under the condition that the compound corresponding to the general formula I contains at least two amino groups. At least one of the substitutes Q1, Q3 and Q5 is a primary amino group, and at least one of the substitutes Q1', Q3' and Q5' is a primary amino group. The substitutes Q2, Q4, Q2' and Q4' are selected such that the compound corresponding to the general formula I, in the α-position to at least one primary amino group bonded to an aromatic nucleus, contains at least one straight or branched alkyl group with 1-12 carbon atoms, which can carry additional functional groups. The reaction of components (a1), (a2), (a3) can be carried out optionally in the presence of at least one catalyst and at least one multifunctional aromatic amine different from the amine of general formula I. The porous material is used as insulating material and in vacuum insulating panels.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain material with high porosity and low density, improves mechanical strength thereof and heat conductivity in a vacuum.
