FIELD: nanotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanotechnology. Carbonaceous material is treated in an electric field between the electrode in the form of needle 1, connected to high voltage source 2, and liquid flow-through collecting electrode 3. Electrode in the form of needle 1 is made of graphite and its end pointed at the needle faces toward collecting electrode 2. Electrode in the form of needle 1 is placed inside tube 4 made of a metal catalyst selected from Pt, Pd, Ni, Cr, Mn, Fe or steel alloyed with Ni, Cr, Mn, and the end of this tube facing collecting electrode 3 with a sharp edge adjacent to graphite. Resulting fullerenes are collected on collecting electrode 3.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce energy costs in the production of fullerenes.
