FIELD: sampling.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of gas analysis, namely to the vortex sampling. Disclosed are a method and device for remote taking of air samples from the surface and from unsealed objects. According to the invention, the object to be examined is blown over by a swirling air jet, flows of air with impurities are recovered by the reverse flow of the jet and transported to its source for examination. Blowing of the object under study is performed through a screen attached to its surface. Flows of air with impurities are removed through the air intake opening arranged in the screen. Said air intake opening’s diameter does not exceed a half of the diameter of the suction channel.

EFFECT: invention allows to form a swirling air jet for sampling purposes in the form of a composite vortex, regardless of the size of the object being examined and provide an increase in the volume of the sample extracted from an object by increasing the vacuum on its surface.
