FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: device for obtaining and analysing ions of an analyte in gas phase has a laser with operating frequency and a system for input of the laser radiation into the ionisation area of the analyte molecules. The analyte ion analysis system is made in form of a housing with nozzles for inlet and outlet of the analysed gas, in which the unit for generating, releasing and transporting analyte ions and a drift spectrometre, which is connected to a system for picking up and displaying ion current, are arranged in series and coaxially. There is an optical resonator formed by two interference mirrors in the device. On the axis of the optical resonator between the interference mirrors there is a swivel interference mirror for directing laser radiation along the optical axis of the resonator, a nonlinear optical converter of laser radiation, and a system for generating, releasing and transporting analyte ions and a drift spectrometer behind.

EFFECT: possibility of changing and adjusting degree of ionisation of the analyte, controlling and increasing sensitivity of analysing analyte ions in a gas phase.
