Imaging workstation or apparatus comprises a system that comprises a machine-readable medium storing computer program product (240), comprising program code, configured for the processor system to perform the steps of the method, which comprises: acquiring cervical images at predetermined time intervals for scheduled acquisition of a time series of cervical images showing changes in the cervical area over time, establishing the progress of the scheduled acquisition; and, based on the progress, generating a progress indicator on a display by generating indicator data and providing the indicator data to the display, wherein the progress indicator provides the user with visual feedback on the progress of the scheduled acquisition.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides automation of acquiring cervical images and providing visual feedback.
