SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to cardiovascular therapy. Monitor/defibrillator comprises: a controller, a connector for electrically connecting the patient's electrodes, a patient treatment circuit, a communication circuit for communication with the controller. Communication circuit for communication with the controller includes an optical sensor capable of obtaining a barcode image containing identification information about the treatment events; memory and a processor. Processor is able to receive the data of an electrocardiogram, to decode the barcode image, to combine the data from the controller and the optical sensor, and also to generate medical history in memory. In another embodiment, the monitor/defibrillator comprises: a patient monitoring circuit placed in a first housing and including a connector for receiving a set of electrodes for the patient and a controller in communication with the electrodes for the patient; a patient monitoring circuit capable of generating an electrocardiogram of the patient and determining the need for a defibrillator discharge; a patient treatment circuit placed in the first housing; an optical sensor placed in a portable second a housing and capable of receiving a barcode image; a display which is placed in the second housing; a wireless link between the first housing and the second housing; memory and a processor. Processor is able to receive electrocardiogram data, decode a barcode image in the barcode data, combine the electrocardiogram data received from the controller with data from the optical image sensor.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to shorten the time for collecting medical history, promptly start treatment, exclude possible errors by incorrect indication of the time of drug administration, the date of birth of the patient or other patient data.
