SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. To obtain thixotropic supramolecular hydrogels of a given strength, an algorithm is implemented based on previously determined dependences of the gel strength for various concentrations of sodium chloride on the ratio of concentrations of silver nitrate and L-cysteine for various concentrations of sodium chloride. Hydrogels of various strengths are obtained in one stage by mixing an aqueous solution of L-cysteine with a solution of sodium chloride and silver nitrate, so that their concentrations after mixing the components are in the range of 0.75–2.00 mM and 4.5–5.4 mM, respectively, moreover, the ratio of molar concentration of silver ions to the concentration of L-cysteine is in the range of 1.5–1.8. Mixture of solutions is vigorously stirred and left at room temperature in a dark place for maturation for 1–24 hours.

EFFECT: there is no need to use specialized equipment to obtain hydrogels of a given strength.
