SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the aerosol delivery device that includes the control circuit for controlling the mode of operation of the device; the movement sensor, which is configured to detect movement of the device and output the corresponding movement detection signals to the control circuit; and the airflow sensor, which is configured to detect the airflow in the device and output the corresponding airflow detection signals to the control circuit; in which the control circuit is configured to determine from the motion detection signals when a tapping event occurs corresponding to the device being tapped by the user, and determine from the airflow detection signals when the airflow event occurs corresponding to the airflow in the device, wherein the control circuit is configured to control the device for switching from the first operation mode to the second operation mode, in response to the detection of a given sequence of events containing at least one tapping event and at least one airflow event.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing an automatic activation mechanism.
