SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tobacco industry, namely to an electronic steam providing system and a method for providing steam. The electronic steam providing system comprises an evaporator for evaporating the payload for inhalation by the user of the electronic steam production system, wherein the evaporator requires a finite period of time from the time of power supply until evaporation of the payload. The electronic steam providing system comprises a power source for supplying power to the evaporator for evaporating the payload in response to activation by the user. The electronic steam providing system comprises one or several sensors configured to issue corresponding signals in response to the user interacting with the electronic steam providing system. The electronic steam providing system comprises an evaluation processor configured to evaluate the expected time of activation by the user based on the analysis of one or several corresponding signals. The electronic steam providing system also comprises a control processor configured to initiate power supply to the evaporator at a time preceding the evaluated expected time of activation by the user. Also disclosed is a method for providing steam.
