FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite structures, in particular for aircraft hull structures. Composite structure comprises one or more electrically conductive tracks and one or more insulators for insulating the tracks from the volume of the structure. Structure comprises fibre reinforcement and a reinforcement resin matrix. Tracks are formed from said fibre reinforcement and said reinforcement resin matrix, wherein the tracks are discrete, and the insulators contain discontinuities in the fibre reinforcement.
EFFECT: invention protects aircraft composite structures from electrical discharge phenomena, such as edge glow, by diverting electricity from critical parts; and also said tracks enable to control the direction of electrical conductivity.
