SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to clinical and experimental traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used to simulate the post-traumatic osteoarthritis of the knee joint of a rabbit. After a layered linear incision made perpendicular to the articular gap of the knee joint, the tendon of the superficial pes anserinus is extracted and traversed from the medial side, substitute arthrotomy is carried out. In the area of the medial condyle of the tibia, subperiosteal dissection is performed. Chisel out a section of bone with a thickness of 5 mm and an area of 1 cm2 with access to the articular surface. In the middle of the length of this area, transverse osteotomy is performed and the area is divided into proximal and distal segments. Distal segment is removed. Proximal segment is implanted in the distal direction by directly driving it along the axis of the tibia and clamping it between the branches of the surgical clamp. Wound is sutured in layers, without seizing the tendon of the goose foot in the suture.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the reproducibility of the pathological process due to the destabilization of the knee joint, the malnutrition of the articular cartilage and the traumatic impact on the articular hyaline cartilage.
