FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain welding structures operating at low temperatures. In the weld pool serves melting electrode with simultaneous feeding in its tail of the additional filler wire subjected to additional heating passing through it by electric current. It is heated by a current source with an idling voltage of not more than 12 V. Additional filler wire is a powder wire, the charge of which contains nanoscale tungsten carbide particles in an amount up to 1 wt. % as part of composite granules containing microparticles of metal powders that prevent the above-mentioned nanoscale particles.
EFFECT: method provides high impact strength of the weld metal and stability of its values at low temperatures.
