FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention can be used in arc welding for the weld metal modification by nano-sized heat-resistant particles. Minced electrode 1-2 mm diameter 1-2 mm long wire is mixed with modifying agent of titanium dioxide by high-power planetary mill with the acceleration of particle making at least 20 g. The components are taken at the following ratio, wt %: modifying agent of titanium dioxide - 0.3-0.8, minced electrode wire making the rest. The pellets are crushed to produce the juvenile surfaces while chemical additive is minced to nano-sizes. Chemical bonds are formed between the additive and the pellets to up the composition stability while nano-disperse particles of modifying additive make the finished crystallisation nuclei in modification.
EFFECT: higher stability of mechanical properties and resistance to brittle fracture of the weld metal.
