SUBSTANCE: disposable diaper (1) of the present invention includes a front waist flap (FA) and a rear waist flap (FB) extending in lateral direction (Y) and located outside front and rear ends (23A) and (23B) of absorbent element (23), respectively, defined in the longitudinal direction (X). Rear waist flap (FB) has hydrophobic sheet (4) located on the side facing the skin, and hydrophilic sheet (5) located on the side not facing the skin. Sheet (4), located on the side facing the skin, includes depressed portions (41), pressed in toward sheet (5), located on the side not facing the skin, and holes (44) formed in sheet (4) located on the side facing the skin, respectively, in depressed portions (41). Each indented portion (41) of sheet (4) located on the side facing the skin has a thickness which decreases towards opening (44).

EFFECT: present invention effectively absorbs sweat, thereby effectively preventing eczema, prickly heat, rashes, and the like.
