MODULE OF SUBSTANCE DELIVERY Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61M15/00 A61M11/00

Abstract RU 2677011 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical technology, namely to module (4) of the substance delivery, nebulizer (2) for delivering the substance in the form of an aerosol and the method of using the nebulizer. Module contains annular cartridge (52), piston (62), container (90) with a substance aligned axially with the piston. Container (90) with the substance is installed in the annular cartridge. Module includes cover (54) of the annular cartridge. Module contains actuator (100), configured to interact with container (90) with the substance and forcibly move the container with the substance on piston (62). Actuator (100) is mounted on the cartridge cover. Cartridge (52) and cover (54) of the cartridge are made with the possibility of relative rotational movement around the axis of the ring of the cover of the cartridge, and with the specified rotational movement. Actuator (100) has the possibility of axial alignment with piston (62) and container (90) with the substance. Cutting element (110) of piston (62) has the ability to pierce membrane (94) of container (90). Container (90) with the substance has the ability to completely move on piston (62). Nebulizer (2) for delivering a substance in the form of an aerosol contains an aerosol generator (10), aerosol delivery channel (14) communicating in fluid with the aerosol generator, and substance delivery module (4). Method of using nebulizer (2) for the delivery of a substance in the form of an aerosol. First, move container (90) with the substance, piston (62) and actuator (100) in the first direction, so that the front opening (104) of the piston communicates with the aerosol generator (10). Next, move actuator (100) relative to piston (62) and container (90) with the substance in the second direction opposite to the first direction, so that actuator (100) interacts with container (90) with the substance and forcibly moves the container with the substance onto piston (62).

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of dose control and ensuring the maximum amount of the liquid phase to the patient.
