FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the storage of liquefied natural gas, in particular to ensure the discharge of vapors from the liquefied natural gas tank, and can be used in cryogenic gas industry. Method includes storing of liquefied natural gas after filling the tank with the implementation of pressure control. In case of emergency or periodic excess of pressure in the tank above nominal, it is reduced by sampling of liquefied natural gas and excess of vapor by a liquid-gas ejector, chamber of which the phases are to be mixed, after which the two-phase flow is sent to the separator through two-phase flow supply line, where it is divided into phases: gas, sent for technological needs of the tank farm, and liquid, if the technical characteristics of the fuel correspond, is sent back to the storage facility.
EFFECT: technical result is to reduce the loss of cryogenic fuel when vapor is discharged without additional energy from the outside.
