METHOD OF CONTROL OF ELECTRICAL WIRE OBJECT LENGTH Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01B7/02

Abstract RU 2677113 C1

FIELD: monitoring and measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation technology and can be used in the automatic sorting or sorting of objects, as well as in object recognition devices. Method is based on the excitation in the exemplary and controlled objects of frequency-modulated electromagnetic oscillations, comparing the resonant frequencies of these oscillations and controlling the length of the object according to the results of comparing the resonant frequencies, the exemplary and controlled objects are used as whip antennas. Exemplary object is first installed on the reference site and the measuring parallel LC circuit in the antenna power supply circuit is tuned to one of the antenna’s serial resonance frequencies so that the frequency response of the oscillating system formed by this circuit and antenna has a symmetrical appearance. Then, a controlled object is installed on the reference site and the type of frequency response is analyzed. With equal lengths of the model and controlled objects, the frequency response has a symmetrical appearance. If the length of the object being monitored is greater than the model, then the right “hump” is large, if the length of the object being monitored is less than the model, a left “hump” is larger, with the deviation of the frequency response from the symmetric view proportional to the deviation of the length from the nominal value.

EFFECT: technical result is to improve the accuracy of dimensional control, as well as to simplify the design.
