SUBSTANCE: in the method of hidden detection of a trespasser in a monitored area, which consists in emission, reception and processing of a radio signal when points of emission and reception are arranged in a hidden manner near the surface or under the surface of a covering medium (ground, a wall, a fence, etc.) during emission and reception a wideband radio signal is used with a frequency band, within which antennas for emission and reception of a radio signal remain optimal (or resonant) in the required range of covering medium parameters variation. The covering medium parameters include its conductivity and dielectric permeability, and the wideband radio signal is a pulse radio signal with duration corresponding to the used frequency band. Versions of the method may be used both in two-position and single-position detection.

EFFECT: expansion of the field of application of the method of hidden detection of a trespasser due to reduction of impact of variations of medium parameters under unfavourable external actions at a received radio signal level.
