SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to diseases associated with metabolic disorders, and can be used to diagnose the metabolic syndrome. Ultrasonic method measures the maximum thickness and width of the pre-mesenteric fat. With a thickness of pre-mesenteric fat of ≥1.8 cm and/or width of pre-mesenteric fat of ≥7.0 cm metabolic syndrome is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides accurate diagnostics due to ultrasonic lipometry.
