SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Magnetic induction tomography imaging method includes identifying a target area on a patient for medical imaging; obtaining a plurality of coil property measurements of the target area using a single coil of a magnetic induction tomography imaging system, wherein a plurality of coil loss measurements is performed with a single coil at a plurality of separate locations relative to the target area, wherein one coil comprises one or more concentric conductive coils located in one or more planes on a printed circuit board; gaining access to a model that determines the relationship between the coil property measurements, obtained using a single coil, and the distribution of the conductivity of the target area; and creating an image of the conductivity distribution of the target area from the plurality of coil property measurements based on the model; and displaying an image to assess the patient's health.
EFFECT: means of assessing the health of a person using medical imaging is disclosed.
