SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of creating an electromagnetic field and measuring characteristics of an electromagnetic field for use in the diagnostics of biological tissues, organs and the body as a whole; it is based on the possibility of measuring the absorption of a low-frequency electromagnetic field in the near zone by various media (biological and conductive). A device for creating an electromagnetic field and measuring its absorption by a conducting medium is proposed, containing structurally interconnected alternating voltage generator, electromagnetic field emitter and means for measuring the absorption of an electromagnetic field. An emitter is used that provides the creation of a toroidal electromagnetic field, containing at least two round plates made and arranged in the same plane in such a way that there is at least one hole in one plate, in which at least one other plate is located, while the plate with the hole is electrically isolated from other plates, and the generated electromagnetic field is symmetrical in one plane, while the electromagnetic field absorption is measured using a fast Fourier transform program in a computer with the determination of harmonic amplitudes, calculation of the radiation power and distribution of harmonics of an emitted signal by power, while the alternating voltage generator ensures the operation of the emitter at a frequency of less than 100 kHz.

EFFECT: use of the device provides safe diagnostics, allows excluding the influence of subjective factors during measurements, providing possibility of objective diagnostics with the determination of deviations from the norm or specified characteristics.
