FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing cast bimetallic dies of the system "ferritic carbide steel – austenite-bainite cast iron", which includes layered casting of alloys into the mold and directional cooling from the bottom end of the workpiece. Method is characterized by the fact that the first layer with a thickness of 10–50 % of the volume of the casting mold is poured with ferritic carbide steel of the following chemical composition, wt.%: carbon (C) 0.27–0.32, titanium (Ti) 5.8–6.2, nickel (Ni) 0.7–0.9, cobalt (Co) 0.02, titanium carbides (TiC), tantalum (TaC), tungsten (WC) 0.5–1.5 %, iron (Fe) – the rest, obtained by entering into the melt the spent carbide cermet inserts cutting tools from alloys of the type: T5K6, T15K6, T5K10, T21K8, TT7K12, TT8K6, TT10K9, TT20K9 and T30K4 containing titanium carbides (TiC), tantalum (TaC), tungsten (WC).
EFFECT: use of the present invention avoids the use of expensive powdered carbides.
