FIELD: processes and equipment for producing die sets for hot deforming operating at high loads and press-molds for pressure die casting.

SUBSTANCE: aluminum alloy with high heat conductivity is poured into heated up mold. Then melt high-alloy steel is cast and simultaneously melt is intensively cooled for creating directed down-up crystallization. Aluminum alloy passing through layer of cast steel refines it by removing harmful impurities. Melts are subjected to directed crystallization for time period necessary for solidification of 80 - 90% of volume of cast melt. Produced cast piece has wear resistant layer of columnar dispersed steel crystals, transition layer with composite structure and base of high heat conductivity ductile metal.

EFFECT: improved quality of cast blanks, their lowered cost price.
