FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed method comprises pouring first layer of suspended ferrite steel into cooled mould to depth making 10-50% of the mould inner volume. Said steel contains the following substances, in wt %: carbon - 0.27-0.32, titanium - 5.8-6.2, nickel - 0.5-0.9, iron making the rest. Titanium carbide powder with particle size of up to 10 mcm is fed into melt jet in amount of 0.5-1.5%. The mould is cooled by water or liquid nitrogen. After solidification of suspended steel second layer of aluminium cast iron alloy is poured in the mould to 30-80% of its inner volume. Said layer contains the following components in wt %: carbon - 3.0-3.4, aluminium - 2.0-4.0, silicon - 0.5, manganese - 0.2-0.4, phosphorus - 0.05, sulfur - 0.02, iron making the rest.
EFFECT: aluminium cast iron alloy features heat conductivity 80% higher than that of ferrite steel, hence accelerated crystallisation.
