SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the prevention and / or treatment of pig diseases. Method is proposed for the prevention and / or treatment of epizootic diarrhea or transmissible gastroenteritis in pigs by adding taurine in the period from 3 to 30 days, while for the prevention and / or treatment of epizootic diarrhea or transmissible gastroenteritis in newborn pigs, by administering to a pregnant sow the effective single dose of 5–500 g of taurine per day and by administering to a newborn pig 1–5 ml of a 2 % solution of taurine per kilogram of body weight per day; by oral administering to weaned pigs, observed in sick pigs and growing-fattening pigs the effective single dose of 50–10,000 mg of taurine per kilogram of body weight per day for the prevention and / or treatment of epizootic diarrhea or transmissible gastroenteritis.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the most significant effect in the treatment (prevention) of the claimed method, in reducing the cost of feeding and in reducing the risks of production of the pig-breeding industry.
