FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a punching process for a multi-layered iron core and a method for manufacturing a multi-layered iron core. At least two sheets of steel are successively fed into the mold and at least trimming of the stacked steel sheets is carried out. Sheets of steel, stacked, in a pair of mounting parts formed by the first mounting part and the second mounting part, are attached to each other. First fastening part is located outside the closed curve corresponding to the outermost border of the multi-layered iron core, and the second fixing part is located on the site, which ultimately serves as a multi-layered iron core. Then the cutting of the outer boundary of the multi-layered iron core is carried out. Number of pairs of the first fixing part and the second fixing part, for which the length of a straight line connecting the first fixing part to the second fixing part is 400 or less than the average thickness of steel sheets, is on average 0.5 or more per 100 mm of closed curve length.

EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to produce a multi-layer iron core with high productivity while minimizing the deterioration of the magnetic characteristics of the multi-layer iron core.
