In this case, the requirement for network resources can be calculated in accordance with the algorithm characteristic of the specified type of the traffic, but with a generalization for any particular route of the specified traffic through the multi-stage switching network. Said device can estimate the traffic based on the comparison of the bandwidth of the multi-stage switching network and the specified network resource requirements for the specified traffic.
