FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a new simple ether of formula (I), which can be used as an additive to detergents and cleaning agents used, for example, for washing fabrics at low temperatures. In formula (I) Formula (I), R=H or ethyl, k=0 or 1, A is a linear or branched alkylene group having C2-C18 carbon atoms, A may be the same or different from each other, at least one A represents a linear or branched C4-alkylene group, the sum of x, y and z is in the range from 5 to 10, x≥1, y≥1 and z≥1, Z=NH2. Such etheramines are preferred, where at least three A are linear or branched C4-alkylene group, especially compounds where all A groups are linear or branched C4-alkylene group. Further, the process for preparing the ether of formula (I) comprises the steps a) interaction of glycerine or 1,1,1-trimethylolpropane with C4-alkylene oxide and optionally with C2-C18 alkylene oxide, where the molar ratio of glycerol or 1,1,1-trimethylolpropane and C4-alkylene oxide is in the range from 1:3 to 1:10, and b) aminating the alkoxylated glycerine or alkoxylated 1,1,1-trimethylolpropane with ammonia. While the preferable molar ratio of glycerine or 1,1,1-trimethylolpropane and C4-alkylene oxide is in the range from 1:3 to 1:6, and the alkylene oxide is ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, or a mixture thereof. Amination is carried out in the presence of a catalyst containing copper, nickel or cobalt. While the catalytically active substance in the catalyst before its reduction with hydrogen contains oxygen-containing compounds of aluminum, copper, nickel and cobalt and possibly a compound of tin in an amount of from 0.2 to 5.0 wt.% of oxygen-containing compounds in terms of SnO. This method allows to obtain ethers with a degree of amination of 95.66–99.31 %.
EFFECT: proposed compounds, when added to known detergents, significantly increase the effectiveness of the detergent when washing, for example, cotton jersey with grease and oil stains.
