SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction equipment, and can be used as the pneumatic hammer for destruction of the pit oversize materials, frozen soil, concrete foundations and pavement, etc., materials and structures. Device contains a throttle-valve type pneumatic impact mechanism, a working tool with a shank, a cylindrical body, a cup with a channel for supplying air from the network, an annular flange with a central hole and a throttle inlet channel, placed in the cylindrical case of the drummer with a through axial hole and a bypass blind channel on the side surface and dividing the cavity of the cylindrical case into the chambers of the working and idling strokes, rod-tube installed in the central hole of the ring flange, passed through the central hole in the glass and fixed relative to it. Front annular bypass chamber is made in the idling chamber on the shank side of the working tool and the rear annular bypass chamber in the form of notches separated by a collar so that when the notches interact with the deaf channel of the bypass on the side surface of the striker, the annular deceleration chamber is connected to the annular accumulation chamber, and in the supported on the working tool shank striker position, the front annular bypass chamber and the rear annular bypass chamber communicate with the accumulation chamber and the annular deceleration chamber. Overflow deaf channel on the side surface of the impactor is made in the form of a channel-groove or channel-flat with varying longitudinal section and is formed by a curvilinear surface with a curvature not lower than the second order turned by the curvature in the direction of the axial through hole of the striker.

EFFECT: efficiency of using the internal energy of the air, increasing the energy of a single blow and the air flow in the working process of the pneumatic hammer are increased.
