FIELD: construction equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as a pneumatic hammer for destruction of stone quarry gangways, frozen soil, concrete foundations, road pavements and similar materials and structures. Pneumatic hammer comprises an air-hammer mechanism of throttle valve type. Proposed tool comprises working tool with shank end, cylindrical case, barrel with air feed channel, annular flange with central bore and intake throttle channel, end prechamber, formed between the shell and the annular flange, a hammer in the housing with a through axial hole and a bypass channel on the side surface and dividing the housing cavity into the working and idle chambers, installed in central hole of annular flange rod-tube, passed through central hole in sleeve and fixed relative to it, radial outlet channel in rod-tube with its continuation in form of axial longitudinal channel with outlet into atmosphere. Rod-tube on the side of the end prechamber is equipped with a radial throttling channel of air inlet with its continuation in the form of a longitudinal channel with output to the idle stroke chamber.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing kinetic energy of single impact and reducing specific air flow rate.
