SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of display technology. Technical result is achieved by a display panel comprising a plurality of display blocks forming pixels, wherein each display unit includes a display sub-block corresponding to a white color channel and a display sub-block corresponding to a plurality of primary color channels, moreover, the display areas occupied by the display sub-blocks corresponding to the primary color channels are equal to each other, and the display region occupied by the sub-block corresponding to the white channel is larger than the display area of any of the display sub-blocks corresponding to each of the primary color channels, each sub-block of the display contains a thin-film transistor, and the display panel also includes a first gate circuit, a second gate circuit, and a data circuit.
EFFECT: lower power consumption for backlighting.
