SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a powder of a PVD-coated pigment with a metallic effect, its highly concentrated suspensions, and to its use in powder lacquers and master batches. Metallic effect coated PVD pigment powder contains a metallic effect PVD pigment and a metal oxide layer from 5 to 45 % by weight of a metallic effect coated PVD pigment.
EFFECT: this PVD-pigment powder is distinguished by increased redispersibility, essentially the absence of agglomerates, provides stable highly concentrated suspensions and coatings with increased metallic luster.
