FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of applied gas dynamics, namely, devices for regulating the parameters of overpressure of an air shock wave in a shock tube channel, and is intended for loading objects with an air shock wave with a given overpressure. Device contains a shock tube with open and closed ends to accommodate the test object, the source of the shock wave, the screen for damping shock waves. Screen is made in the form of rigid plates attached to the open end of the shock tube perpendicular to its axis, and the plates have holes that are coaxial with the shock tube and equal to the internal contour of the shock tube, and the plate furthest from the open end of the shock tube has no hole; in addition, the plates are fixed with a gap between them and the open end of the shock tube.
EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of loading objects with an air shock wave in shock tubes with a given overpressure while increasing the efficiency of the adjustment process and expanding the range of adjusting its parameters, while simplifying the device when it is used.
