FIELD: gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of gas dynamics, namely to methods for generation of air explosion wave (AEW) by creation of gas mixture in elastic shell, located in shock tunnel, and blasting, and can be used for tests of structures and objects on mechanical impact of pressure pulse. Method consists in supply of combustible gas and oxidizer gas into elastic shell with formation of explosive gas mixture of stoichiometric composition, initiation of gas mixture blast. Acetylene is used as fuel gas, wherein required amount and concentration of explosive gas mixture at specified parameters of shock wave is created. Explosion initiation is made with detonation wave generator, filled with gas mixture of balanced composition of acetylene and oxidizer gas. Gas mixture in sealing shell and detonation wave generator is divided by membrane. Explosion of gas mixture in detonation wave generator is initiated by high-voltage spark discharge. Sealing shell is placed in charging section of shock tunnel.

EFFECT: technical result of method provides opportunity for testing of objects and structures in shock tunnels on impact of generated AEW with expanded range of parameters at reduction of toxicity and cheapening during its use.
