FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of vacuum-packing items, mainly large-sized, and can be applied in various industries. Packaged product, in particular a complete switchgear, electronics, turbines, engines, machine tools, any equipment and machinery, is wrapped with packaging material, which uses a multi-layer broadband air/water vapor-permeable material, the outer layer of which is metallized. Number and thickness of the layers may vary depending on the characteristics of the packaged product. Outer surface of the packaging material is pre-metallized by spraying metal powder or using metal foil. Claimed packaging material can be made in the form of a sleeve or semi-sleeve of any size, obtained by soldering two or more rolls of packaging material by an ultrasonic sealing machine, which makes it easy to ensure the tightness of the packaging of large-sized packaged products. After that, the cavity formed by the surface of the product and the inner surface of the packaging material is evacuated by evacuating air therefrom.
EFFECT: claimed technology is convenient for transportation, conservation and long-term storage of various objects of equipment, electronics, devices and materials.
