FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave technique devices designed to match different types of transmission lines, and can be used to excite the main wave of a rectangular waveguide using coaxial lines. Invention allows to transmit electromagnetic energy of high power level (more than 200 W) in specified frequency ranges. Coaxial coaxial-to-waveguide transducer includes a segment of a rectangular waveguide, short-circuited by end wall, regular segment of a coaxial line connected to the end wall of the waveguide in its central part; a coupling element that is a continuation of the inner conductor of a coaxial line connected to one of the wide walls of a rectangular waveguide. In this case, a segment of a rectangular waveguide is made in the form of horn, formed by a segment of irregular waveguide and a segment of a regular waveguide, whose narrow wall height is constant along the direction of electromagnetic wave propagation. Coupling element is made in the form of a rod connected to one of the wide walls of a rectangular waveguide by means of a metal holder, while the said rod is made with a thickness more than the thickness of the inner conductor of coaxial line, and is located parallel to the wide walls of the waveguide, and the metal holder is made with a thickness less than the thickness of the rod, and is located perpendicular to the wide wall of the waveguide at a distance from the free end of the rod.

EFFECT: technical result is an improvement in the level of coordination and reduction of VSWR to values less than 1,2 in a given frequency range (3,1–3,9 GHz) while ensuring the transmission of microwave energy of a high level of power, simplifying the design of KVP and increasing its reliability.
