FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave radio engineering. Coaxial-waveguide transition contains a segment of a rectangular waveguide, short-circuited by the end wall, and a section of a coaxial line connected to a length of a rectangular waveguide through the middle of its wide wall by means of an exciter element, consisting of a metal pin that is an extension of the central conductor of a coaxial line segment, and the dielectric sleeve surrounding the metal pin. Dielectric nut is inserted into the transition, mounted on the dielectric sleeve with the possibility of moving along it, the outer diameter of the dielectric nut is Λw/5, the outer diameter of the dielectric sleeve is Λw/10, and the thickness of the dielectric nut is Λw/20, where Λw is the wavelength in a rectangular waveguide.
EFFECT: expansion of the working band and reduction of phase distortions.
