FIELD: microwave technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the field of radar, radio navigation, communications, antenna-feeder systems and measuring technology as a matched transition (adapter) between a round coaxial and a strand rectangular waveguide.

SUBSTANCE: coaxial-waveguide SHF junction (CWJ) is formed by coaxial serial connection of two segments of rectangular and circular coaxial microwave transmission lines. The connection is formed by means of an impedance transformer, which is part of both transmission lines. The body of the junction is made in the form of a base and a cover combined and fastened with screws. A segment of a rectangular waveguide is formed by the inner surface of the cavity formed by a blind groove cut longitudinally in the base. A waveguide flange is made at the end of the body. The outer conductive surfaces of a segment of a round coaxial waveguide are formed by the inner surface of the coaxial connector body, which is connected to the junction body by means of a thread, and the surface of the hole made on the inner narrow wall of the base groove. The inner conductor of a segment of a round coaxial waveguide is formed by the outer cylindrical surface of the rod, which is fixed by means of a threaded connection in the inner extreme end of the parallelepiped element of the impedance transformer made in the base.

EFFECT: reduced return and through losses of the SHF signal.
