FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine building. Absorb vibrations of elastic elements of structures, for example, rods, cables, plates and shells, which are under the influence of external high-frequency vibrational effects. Vibration damping in a specific area of an element is performed by periodically changing the element’s spatial coordinates along one of its parameters. Parameter is the geometric shape or physical and mechanical properties of the material. Measure and record the law of change in time of the external high-frequency oscillatory effects. Choose the law of the periodic coordinates of the change in the corresponding parameter of the element – a standing wave. Resulting law changes used in the design element.
EFFECT: simplified design of vibration dampers, improved vibration damping, and increased operational reliability of external vibration damping means.
