FIELD: sanitation equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of sanitation and can be used to sterilize rigid containers or their contents. Sterilizing apparatus (100) contains: reservoir (110), forming sealed box (110), which can be filled with insulating material or liquid, elastic passageway (116) or recess located inside reservoir (110), moreover, this recess includes liquid deformation of the insulating material in accordance with the shape of the target container and passes at least partially through the sealed box, thus forming an opening through which container (114) to be sterilized can be placed inside, group of electrodes (118, 120) located around elastic passageway (116) or recesses through which alternating high-voltage current can flow. During operation of the apparatus, said elastic passageway or recess is capable of exerting pressure on container to be sterilized (114) by increasing the pressure in the elastic insulating material or liquid and, when high voltage alternating current is applied to group of electrodes (118, 120), plasma is formed in container to be sterilized (114). It is also possible to connect a device to the reservoir, which can be used to increase the pressure of the insulating fluid contained in the reservoir. Also the group of inventions relates to a sterilization method using said apparatus.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides increased sterilization efficiency.
