FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for purification, disinfection and sterilisation of medical instruments involves placing processed instruments in a chamber filled with a conducting medium and exposing them directly to electric current supplied to electrodes placed in the chamber. The instruments are placed in close proximity to the electrodes and exposed to electric current providing generation of microplasma discharges on all the electrodes simultaneously. That is combined with circulation of the conducting medium activated by microplasma discharges in an auxiliary microplasma chamber through canals of the instrument and/or medical instruments comprising the canals and additionally exposed to stepped voltage drop. The group of inventions also refers to a device for implementing the above method.
EFFECT: combined purification, disinfection and sterilisation both of external and internal surfaces of a medical instrument comprising extended canals.
