FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in intake systems of internal combustion engines. Intake silencer (200) comprises outer housing (212), series of successive expansion chambers (210) separated by walls (214), and inner tube (216). Inner tube (216) is located in each of successively arranged expansion chambers (210). Each of inner tubes (216) contains opening (218), which provides flow communication between tube cavity (216) and corresponding expansion chamber (210). Further, the size of openings (218) gets sequentially larger in the direction of the air flow. Disclosed are the embodiments of the intake silencer.
EFFECT: technical result is to reduce the noise generated in the intake system and to increase the compactness of the intake system.
