FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes an aviation fuel, comprising an aviation alkylate, tricarbonyl compound of cyclopentadienyl manganese and a manganese scavenger compound, in which the manganese scavenger compound is selected from triphenylphosphine oxide, triphenylphosphine and tricarbonyl compound selected from glycerol triacetate, and triethyl 1,1,2-ethane-tricarboxylate, wherein said aviation fuel contains 13 mg of lead or less per litre. Also described is aviation fuel containing an amount of one or more tricarbonyl compounds of cyclopentadienyl manganese, sufficient to provide from about 1 to 500 mg Mn/l, and a method of reducing manganese-containing deposits, derived from the combustion of aviation fuel, including tricarbonyl cyclopentadienyl manganese and aviation alkylate, in an aircraft fuel engine.
EFFECT: reduction of manganese-containing deposits that occur from the combustion of aviation fuel, including tricarbonyl cyclopentadienyl manganese.
